At PGG legal we have given advice in a wide range of State and Commonwealth revenue issues and are regularly involved in giving advices, applying for private binding rulings and lodging objections. Superannuation, Trust Law and Estate Planning
Over the years PGG legal has acted for hundreds of self-managed superannuation funds and work with their accountants and financial planners to achieve a clients objectives in relation to the management of their funds. As part of this the firm has developed a large estate planning practice, involving will drafting, control passing of assets in discretionary trusts and the tax effective passage of income through discretionary trusts and drafting of all necessary ancillary documents including trust deed amendments, enduring guardianship and power of attorney documents and acting on probate applications. As part of and as ancillary to this services the firm also reviews and upgrades discretionary trusts, unit trusts (fixed and non fixed) and superannuation trust deeds.
Property transactions are handled by Amanda Gell and consist of sales, purchases and leases of real property. Over the past few years Amanda has been involved in many real estate purchase transactions by self-managed superannuation funds under limited recourse borrowing arrangements involving custodian trustees. Amanda can assist you in setting up legally valid custodian trust arrangements, loans and mortgages in what is an area which is fraught with stamp duty traps and difficulties. Property transactions in particular in the last year have become more complicated with foreign purchaser surcharges for land tax and stamp duty.
